Pregnancy Scans

The primary purpose of all our packages and our Fetal Health Scan, is the well-being of mum and baby.

Your sonographer will conduct the appropriate health checks and you will receive a report to take home if required. 

We recommend that you present your results to your healthcare professional whose contact details we take at the time of booking when you attend for your appointment.
All scans are performed by a qualified Sonographer with diagnostic obstetric scanning experience.

Early scan 6 - 12 weeks

This is 15 minute scan to determine viability of your pregnancy. Your sonographer will also check the general health of your womb and ovaries.

A scan in early pregnancy can be performed in the first trimester between 6 –12 weeks gestation.

Reasons for having scan:

  • to confirm your pregnancy
  • to confirm your EDD (estimated date of delivery)
  • to identify multiple pregnancies
  • for peace of mind
Dating scan

This is a 15-minute scan to determine viability of your pregnancy. Your sonographer will also check the general health of your womb and ovaries.

A dating scan can be done at any stage of pregnancy.

Reasons for having scan:

  • to confirm your pregnancy
  • to ‘date’ your pregnancy – to confirm your EDD (estimated date of delivery)
Gender scan (16 weeks+)

This is a 15-minute scan to look at the gender of baby.  Your sonographer will also complete a general well-being check of baby.

Reassurance scan

This is a 10-minute scan to check well-being of baby. Your sonographer will check your baby’s heartbeat and movement.

There are NO measurements taken at this scan,

This scan can be done at any stage after an early pregnancy scan.

Growth scan

This is a 20-minute scan to assess growth of baby, condition of placenta and the general well-being of the baby.

Anomaly scan (20-26 weeks)

This is a 30-minute scan which includes a full check of baby’s organs, placenta and measurements. After your scan you will receive a report for your hospital notes.

3D/4D scan 27 - 32 weeks

4D Scan (26 –32 weeks) This a full anomaly check with 4D imaging. This includes, black and white prints, colour prints and a USB pen of images and videos.

*If your baby’s position is not favourable to obtain 3D/4D images of the face, you will be offered ONE COMPLEMENTARY RESCAN appointment.
